I agree with most every point, except the bit about the preservatives. "Even if they have been processed and blended with a ton of preservatives" Food suppliers aren't going to take the extra steps to 'blend' their product if it isn't required. Dried spice is not difficult to store and transport. Not taking the time to enjoy growing food is just as nonsensical as not taking the time to enjoy eating it.
